We are seeking a Senior Snowflake Specialist, based in Dubai, with deep expertise in Snowflake platform implementation and administration, AI/ML model operationalization, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate has over 8 years of experience in data engineering or platform roles, including 3+ years hands-on with Snowflake. You will lead the design, optimization, and governance of scalable data workflows while driving innovation through Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, and metadata integration with platforms like Informatica CDGC.
What You Will Do:
Operationalize AI/ML models and predictive analytics using Snowflake Cortex and Snowpark.
Administer Snowflake environments, including RBAC, workload isolation, credit monitoring, and security hardening.
Build and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using DataOps.live, DBT Cloud, and Git-based version control.
Lead platform performance tuning, upgrades, and proactive infrastructure monitoring.
Integrate and maintain metadata and lineage flows between Snowflake and Informatica CDGC.
Ensure data quality, auditability, and consistency through automated, modular ELT pipelines.
Collaborate across DataOps, Infrastructure, and Governance teams to support platform reliability and innovation.
Technical Responsibilities:
Develop Python-based ML pipelines within Snowflake and expose them to downstream systems.
Use Docker to containerize and deploy data workflows for consistency and portability.
Build and maintain scalable ELT pipelines using DBT, following medallion architecture best practices.
Publish, manage, and sync custom metadata and lineage from Snowflake to Informatica CDGC.
Automate platform deployments with CI/CD pipelines that include rollback and testing mechanisms.
Perform platform benchmarking, storage optimization, and capacity planning across environments.
What We Are Looking For:
8+ years in data platform engineering, data operations, or enterprise data architecture roles.
3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience in both administration and development capacities.
Strong command of Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, and related tools for operationalizing analytics and ML.
Proficient in Python, SQL, DBT, Docker, and modern data tooling (Airflow, Terraform, Git).
Experience with DataOps.live, DBT Cloud, and automation of governed ELT processes.
Proven ability to integrate metadata and data lineage into enterprise governance tools like Informatica CDGC.
Familiar with data mesh, data fabric, and modular lakehouse architectures.
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Snowflake Advanced Architect, Administrator, or Cortex Analyst
DBT Cloud or DataOps.live certifications
Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Informatica CDGC hands-on experience preferred.
